Tasks:

• Evaluating the efficiency and effectiveness of the education system as a whole and in detail - even at the individual schoollevel, where appropriate - and cross-referencing the national situation with an international context.
• Analysing the causes of student failure and study abandonment, with reference to the social context and to the kinds of education offered.
• Evaluating user satisfaction.
• Providing support and technical assistance for school authorities in order to set up autonomous evaluation and support initiatives for individual schools, also via reely accessible databanks for schools to consult.
• Evaluating the effects of education policy legistlation.
• Evaluating the results of innovation projects and initiatives promoted at national level.
•  Assuring Italian participation in international research projects in the evaluation sphere and in fields linked to organisational and didactic innovation.
